BY AIR
Madrid, being the capital city of Spain is well connected by air to most of the national cities and many international cities, such as Athens, London, Dublin, etc. The city’s airport, Barajas Airport, is served by major international airlines, namely, Aegean Airlines, Aer Lingus, Air Europa, Air France, British Airways, etc.
BY TRAIN
Madrid has two major rail stations, Atocha in the south of the city, connecting it to the cities of southern Spain and Chamartin in north Madrid, where trains from the north of Spain arrive. The latter also serves as the international rail station, with the entry of trains from France. RENFE is the national rail company that serves the city.
BY ROAD
The city has a good bus connectivity to various national cities, as well as international cities such as Paris, Lyon, Marseilles, Rome, Morocco Amsterdam, etc. The three major bus stations of Madrid are served by Alsa, Socibus, Continental-Auto and Avanza bus transit companies.
