Some of the major airlines serving this airport are Bangkok Airways, Firefly, Thai Airways, SilkAir, etc. The other airports close to Koh Samui are the Chumphon Airport and Surat Thani Airport that have good ferry connections to Koh Samui.
The train from Bangkok to Koh Samui is a 16-hour trip (longer than the bus and ferry option). There is a choice of classes – first class sleeper, second class sleeper and second class seating.
