The nearest one can travel by train is to Surat Thani, which is 3-4 hours from Phuket by bus. Many trains go from Bangkok&#8217;s central station and head south all the way to Singapore. The station closest to Surat Thani is the Phun Phin railway station. Ferry services connect Rassada Pier in Phuket Town to Ko Phi Phi Island. The overnight buses are very comfortable and are thus the most popular choice, especially since the journey takes around 12-14 hours. There are also private buses that leave from Khaosarn Road.
